Markéta specializes in legally and factually complex court and insolvency proceedings involving claims for damages amounting to hundreds of millions to billions of Czech crowns, as well as claims arising from defects and breaches of contract. A significant part of her practice consists of shareholder disputes, proceedings concerning the liability of statutory body members, protection of reputation, and the settlement of co-ownership.

In the area of family law, she focuses on disputes with a corporate dimension, including matters involving family businesses, estates, and inheritance. She provides advice on complex issues of matrimonial property law and its corporate aspects (optimal structuring of matrimonial property regimes, spousal consent for the disposal of jointly held assets, division of matrimonial property, spousal maintenance, and financial settlements). In matters concerning arrangements for minor children, she deals with custody, child support, and disputes regarding significant matters affecting the child, including domestic and international child abduction and issues related to the acquisition and administration of minors’ property. These cases frequently involve high-net-worth individuals and families, as well as disputes with an international element.

In the field of employment law, she has experience in drafting employment documentation and handling disputes concerning the termination of employment relationships and related claims for damages.

In 2012 and 2013, Markéta completed a one-year study program at KU Leuven in Belgium under a scholarship granted by the Government of the Flemish Community, focusing on European Union law and human rights. She has long been engaged in human rights matters as part of her pro bono activities.

She is the author and co-author of professional publications, including those published by C. H. Beck and epravo.cz.

She is a member of the Czech Bar Association as an attorney-at-law and, since 2022, has served as a member of one of its advisory sections. Since 2025, she has been a member of the International Academy of Family Lawyers.
